We know you want to do your best to protect your new leather furniture. For this reason, we wanted to create a guide that tells you how to preserve your furniture with the glory of the first day.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

• Remember: leather is a natural product. Even no two parts are exactly the same and are likely to undergo some changes over time. It is normal for slight color changes and scars to occur with use.
• Cushions settle over time after using them for a certain period of time. It's perfectly normal for them to be puffy at first.

 

CARE:

 

• Regular cleaning should be done once a month. Always clean your leather furniture with dry and/or water-dampened cloths.
• Do not use products such as household cleaning products, cologne, wet wipes, hand disinfectants, especially alcohol and ammonia-based cleaners! Especially the dyes of our natural and skin-friendly leathers are sensitive to such strong abrasive cleaners.
• Before using any branded product on your furniture, make sure to test it on a small corner.
• Clean up spilled liquids on your furniture as quickly as possible with absorbent cloths.
• Using your cushions by turning them for the first few weeks will ensure that they settle in a balanced way.

 

PROTECTION:

 

• Twice a year, you should apply a quality Vaseline to the leather of your furniture to keep your leather furniture soft and to keep the leather's condition at a high level for years against regular use. You can do the application as follows:
      1) First of all, the furniture to which vaseline will be applied should be cleaned of dust with a dry cloth.
      2) Afterwards, some Vaseline should be distributed evenly on our hands.
      3) In the next step, the vaseline in your hand should be applied to the skin with delicate circular movements, just like applying sunscreen to your skin.
      4) The above procedures should be repeated until all furniture is applied.
      5) After the application is finished, it should be waited for about 2 hours for the skin to absorb the Vaseline into its pores.
      6) After 2 hours, your furniture should be wiped from end to end with a slightly moistened (near dry) cloth.

• Take care to do this application as delicately as possible, with circular movements.
• Do not expose your furniture to direct sunlight. It is important for the life of the leather to stay in the shade as much as possible.
• Take care that your furniture is not near a heat source (stove, electric heater, etc.).
• Avoid handling or using sharp objects while sitting on the skin. This includes pens, jewelry, etc. are included.
• Do not sit on the arms or back of your furniture, do not use excessive force.
• Placing protective pads under the feet of your furniture protects your floors.
